Small business consulting

A clearer business, built to be used.

Dream Team Consulting works with owners who are done collecting advice and ready for a site, a system, or a service that holds up on a Tuesday. Dominick and Tarah Wernicke lead the practice. The first conversation is free.

The practice

Consulting for the business you actually run.

Most small businesses do not need a transformation program. They need a website that explains the offer, a way for a customer to book, a search presence that matches the town they serve, and an assistant that answers the same five questions without a person sitting on the inbox.

We take that work in plain language. Scope is written down. You see the draft before anything goes live. If a tool is not worth the monthly fee, we say so.

Services

What we take on.

Each engagement starts with the offer, the customer, and the hour the owner can actually give it. Tools come after that.

Small business consulting

Offer, pricing, weekly rhythm, and the few numbers that tell you if the month is working. We write a short operating picture: who you serve, what you sell, what it costs, and what to stop doing.

Web design

A site that states the service, shows the people, and gives a visitor one next step. Fast on a phone. Written in your voice. Built so you can change a price or a photo without a rebuild.

App design and build

When a page is not enough. Booking, menus, member lists, simple internal tools. We design the screens first, then build only the path a customer or a shift lead will actually use.

Search (SEO)

Pages a person in your town would search for, with titles, copy, and structure that match the service. No bought links. No twenty-page audit that sits in a folder.

AI assistant

An assistant trained on your hours, menu, services, and policies. It answers the repeat questions, drafts replies, and hands a real booking to a person. You approve what it is allowed to say.

Restaurant consulting

Menu shape, food cost, service rhythm, and the weeknight floor. We work from the ticket and the walk-in, not from a concept deck. Useful for a reopen, a slow season, or a room that is busy and still losing money.

Contractors

For contractors: stop losing jobs to missed calls and slow replies.

Set up and tested with you by Dominick & Tarah Wernicke of Dream Team Consulting.

You are on a roof, under a sink, or driving between estimates when the phone rings. If nobody answers, that homeowner calls the next name on the list. We set up simple follow-up so the lead hears back from you first.

Built for local trades: roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, remodeling, and landscaping.

  1. Missed-call follow-up

When you miss a call, the caller automatically gets a text back from your business. The lead stays with you instead of going to the next contractor.

  2. Web-lead follow-up

When someone fills out the form on your website, they get a fast first reply, not silence until you are back at the truck.

  3. Booking

Leads can pick or request a time for an estimate or appointment, so the back-and-forth does not eat your evening.

  4. Reminders

Customers get a reminder before the estimate or appointment. Fewer no-shows, fewer wasted drives.

How it works

  1. Free call. Thirty minutes on how calls and web leads reach you today.
  2. Written scope. One page: what we set up, what you supply, and what it costs.
  3. We set it up and test it with you. We run test calls and test form leads together before it goes live.
  4. It runs, and you see every lead. Missed calls, form leads, and bookings all land where you can see them.

Founding-client rate

Founding-client rate — ask on the call. We're taking a small number of early contractor clients at a reduced rate in exchange for honest feedback.

AI assistant

An assistant that knows the business.

Owners lose hours to the same messages: hours, pricing, parking, allergens, “are you open Sunday.” An assistant can take the first reply if it is held to a short list of facts you wrote.

We set the boundary. It can answer from your site and your policies. It cannot invent a price, a medical claim, or a reservation you did not approve. Bookings land in your inbox, and a person confirms the time.

The dream team

Dominick and Tarah Wernicke.

The practice is named for the two people who do the work. You are not handed to an account coordinator after the first call. Dominick leads operations, restaurants, and the build. Tarah leads client strategy and the way the work is explained back to the owner.

Principal

Dominick Wernicke

Operations, restaurants, sales systems, and the build. He is the person who asks what the Tuesday shift can actually run.

Principal

Tarah Wernicke

Client strategy and the practice. She keeps the scope in language an owner can use with a partner, a landlord, or a lender.

Why trust a new practice?

Founder-led, written down, and honest about what we have not done yet.

The process is in the open

  • A written one-page scope before any work starts.
  • You see drafts before anything goes live.
  • You own your site, your accounts, and your data.
  • We explain any monthly tool cost, and we tell you when it is not worth it.

What we won't claim (yet)

  • We're a new practice. We won't show you testimonials we don't have.
  • We won't promise rankings, a number of leads, or revenue figures.
  • We won't put logos of businesses we haven't worked with on this page.
  • When we have real results and permission to share them, they'll go here — with names, and with the owner's OK.

Founding clients: early clients get a founding-client rate and a direct line to the founders. Contractors, start here, or book a free call.

How an engagement runs

Four steps. Then it is live.

  1. Free consultation. Thirty minutes. You describe the business and the stuck point. We say whether we are the right fit.
  2. Written scope. One page. What we will make, what we will not, what you supply, and what it costs.
  3. Draft in the open. You see the site, the screens, or the assistant answers before anything is public.
  4. Handoff. You can edit the ordinary things. We stay for a short window after launch so the first real week is not a surprise.

Who this is for

Independent businesses, restaurants, and local services that need the public face and the back-of-house to match. A new offer, a reopen, a site that has not been touched in years, or an inbox that has become the job.

Who it is not for

Venture decks, ad accounts you want someone else to “just run,” or a logo with no offer behind it. If the work is a single afternoon, we will say that on the call.

Free initial consultation

Tell us the business. We will answer.

The form goes to Dream Team Consulting. We reply by email or phone, usually within one business day. A person confirms every consultation. Nothing is billed for the first call.

Have a preferred window ready. Morning, afternoon, or a specific day is enough. We reply with two times.
